John Peterson, AIA, is founder and president of Public Architecture in San Francisco, a national non-profit that recasts designers as problem-identifiers in addition to problem-solvers, mobilizing them to expand their skills and expertise to advance the public well-being. In his lecture, titled "Exploring Models of Practice", Peterson will discuss the organization's work and its mission to broaden the impact of architectural practice. Peterson also maintains a small private practice, Peterson Architects, which has provided an extraordinary amount of pro bonowork over the last fifteen years to arts institutions, city agencies, community development corporations, non-profit corporations and social service agencies.
