Álvaro Malo's research is focused on the analysis, modeling, and testing of the properties of materials, seeking quantitative measures of physical efficiency (i.e. mechanical, structural, thermal, optical, etc.) and qualitative criteria of sensorial performance (i.e., auditory, haptic, kinetic, visual, etc.). The purpose is to establish a dual protocol of precise observation and imaginative experimentation aimed at a true economy of production-conceptual, ethical and aesthetical.
